Layered, agate glossed blacks,
Under salt specked dome of night,
Clouds rolled as one, the sea for this ship,
And from these dawns of layered lights,
Seven birds choose feathers, tethered to hip,
Awaiting instruction for flight.
Tell them where,
And they'll take to air, to music from your lips,
But keep your voice in song,
Never falter as they fly,
And they'll keep you uncharted along,
Through layered dreams in agate grey, so high.
